Banana Pudding From Scratch
Homemade banana pudding is a classic for a reason! Homemade vanilla pudding with banana, vanilla wafer and whipped cream is the ultimate comfort food.
If there was any dessert—aside from the cheesecake I’d say I’m obsessed with—it would be the banana fudge.
Whether it’s homemade, a super simple version of the packaged ingredients, or even the easy Banana Cream Pie Fluff method, I simply don’t think you can go wrong with bananas, whipped cream, and vanilla wafers.
It’s pretty much my favorite flavor combination at the moment, so you’ll be seeing more banana cream recipes in the coming weeks.
Homemade banana pudding is incredibly easy—even from scratch and can feed the crowd if you double up on a trifle recipe, which is why it ranks as one of my top 5 recipes. But they also keep well in the fridge, so if you’re not feeding a crowd, you can have them as a delicious dessert or snack all week long.
This banana pudding recipe is as much a Southern comfort food as it is a dessert. It’s ready in 30 minutes and is always a favorite dessert.
One that everyone is always looking to look for for the perfect ratio of vanilla wafers, fudge, banana and meringue. It’s rich, delicious, and hard to beat when you think of this popular Southern dessert!
