You must be thinking that I am indulging into chocolate too much these days. Well summer is almost over and autumn is knocking at the door with brisk morning and evening air. That calls for some warm chocolate love.
There is another reason to bake this delicious Chocolate cake today. Ask me why? Today is the end of my very busy and stressful week and the beginning of the weekend. That gives me enough reason to bake a chocolate cake and eat it too.
Sometimes, the calories can knock themselves out. I am telling you the truth that some days need to be stress free and full of bright sun and fun with no worries on mind and a big slice of chocolate cake in the plate with your favorite Latte in the cup.
That was my reason to bake and celebrate. Need a day to just feel the joy of being carefree and nothing on my mind…absolutely nothing.
Ingredients:
➡28 Oreo Cookies
➡1 Tsp Baking powder
➡1 Cup Milk (245ml)
Instructions:
➡You will need about 28 Oreos, remove the cream and place the Oreo biscuits in a Ziplock bag then smash them until they are powdered. If you have a blender, place the cookies in and pulse them. Put the crushed cookies in a large bowl then add a tablespoon of baking powder and mix it up then add one cup of milk and mix it in until you get a smooth batter with all the crushed cookies moistened.
➡Bring the Oreo cream that you had removed earlier then add them in then continue whisking until they are combined in the batter. For this cake will need a heavy-bottomed pot that is lightly oiled then line the bottom with a parchment paper and pour the batter in. Turn on the stove and put a thick pan or something to even out the temperature of the stove.
➡Put the pan with batter on top of the other pan and put a lid on then let it bake on low heat for 40 minutes. After around 40 minutes, check with a skewer if the cake is baked and if it comes out with dry the cake is baked. Flip the cake on a wire rack and let it cool down.
➡For the chocolate glaze, pour about 150 ml of hot whipping cream in a bowl with dark chocolate and let it melt. Pour the melted chocolate over the cake and decorate the top with a little grated chocolate or fruits then serve.
That’s it, all you have to do is Enjoy !
