The recipe for macadamia chocolate cookies
I was served chocolate macadamia cookies at a restaurant in Springfield, MO, during a business conference.
Went home and made up this recipe which has been a hit at any church gathering I take them to.
They’re even better than the one I had at the conference.
• 150 g of flour
• 1 egg
• 100 g butter
• 200 g of light sugar
• 75 g of almond powder
• 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
• 1 pinch of fleur de sel
• 1 teaspoon of baking powder
• 100 g dark or milk chocolate chips
• 50g macadamia nuts
Whisk an egg, sugar, and the soft or slightly melted butter
Add a good tablespoon of vahiné vanilla paste
Then add the almond powder, flour, fleur de sel, and baking powder, mix with a spatula
Add the small dark chocolate and choco-hazelnut, and the vahiné macadamia nuts
Place piles on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake for 12 minutes at 180 ° C (I flatten them delicately during cooking!)
