Hello friends, my mom and I share favorite family recipes using everyday ingredients and unusual flavor. I’m so excited to share these homemade maple twists with you… They’re absolutely over the top and even more delicious.
The scent of maple overturns the scent of bread like comfort to me; The smell of sourdough and a sticky, bubbly cinnamon filling hint at tradition and the crisp cool mornings spent in a cozy kitchen. These fermented fermented twists are infused with cinnamon, a flavor that never gets old. The cream consists of maple syrup, cinnamon, and a shower of powdered sugar.
I was first introduced to maple-infused breakfast items when I tried the maple bar at a local bakery store…it was like love at first bite. I’m still not giving up on the entire maple bacon trend, but maple alone.
Ingredients :
●Basic maple pie recipe
●2 medium onions, finely chopped
●1/2 cup of maple syrup
●Salt and pepper to taste
●flour (for work surface)
Preparation :
In a non-stick pan, sauté the onions in the maple syrup for 20 minutes or until caramelized.
Salt and pepper.
Let cool.
Spread the parchment paper on the baking sheet.
On a floured work surface, roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle 46 cm by 20 cm (18 by 8 inches).
Spread the onion mixture over one half of the surface, then fold the other half of the dough over the onions. Cut them into slices and roll them up.
