Ingredients:
1 pound of sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pound of pasta (fettuccine or linguine work well)
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of butter
1 medium-sized onion, diced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of Jamaican jerk seasoning
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 cup of heavy cream
1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions:
Start by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until it is al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and are cooked through.
Sprinkle the Jamaican jerk seasoning, paprika, thyme, salt, and black pepper over the shrimp and onion mixture. Stir until the spices are evenly distributed.
Add the heavy cream to the skillet and stir until it is combined with the spices. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss it with the shrimp and steak mixture until it is evenly coated with the sauce.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the pasta and stir until they are evenly distributed.
Serve the pasta hot with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top. Enjoy!
