This recipe is a true lifesaver for those days when you crave restaurant-quality flavor without the restaurant-level effort.

Fettuccine Alfredo is a classic Italian-American dish that’s known for its rich, creamy sauce and tender pasta. Traditionally, it’s made by tossing cooked fettuccine noodles in a sauce made from butter, heavy cream, and grated Parmesan cheese. It’s a decadent indulgence that often requires multiple pots and pans.

Our One Pan Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo, however, streamlines the process without compromising on taste. By using a single pan, you can enjoy all the creamy goodness of the classic dish with the added bonus of succulent shrimp. This recipe not only reduces cleanup but also ensures that the flavors of the shrimp infuse into the sauce, creating a harmonious blend of seafood and creaminess.

Without further ado, let’s dive into this recipe that’s sure to become a family favorite. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or a novice in the kitchen, you’ll appreciate the simplicity and the delightful outcome of One Pan Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo. Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons unsalted butter divided

16 ounces large shrimp peeled, deveined, and tails removed

2 cloves garlic minced

2 cups chicken broth

1 cup milk

8 ounces fettuccine noodles dry

1 cup parmesan cheese grated

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 teaspoon pepper

pinch nutmeg

parsley as a garnish

How To Make One Pan Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo:

In a sauté pan over medium heat, add two tablespoons of butter. Once hot, add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes each side, or until opaque. Transfer to a plate or bowl and cover to keep warm.

Add remaining butter and minced garlic to pan. Cook for 30 seconds, making sure not to burn (garlic will cook quickly).

Add chicken broth, milk, and fettuccine noodles. Stir noodles to separate. Once liquid comes to a boil, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 11 minutes (or until al dente according to your pasta’s package directions).

Stir once halfway through to separate noodles.Remove lid. Most of liquid should be absorbed.

Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir until cheese is melted. Add shrimp and stir to combone. Remove pan from heat allow to set for 5 minutes to allow for sauce to thicken.

Garnish with parsley before serving.

Pro Tips:

Fresh Shrimp: Opt for fresh, high-quality shrimp for the best flavor and texture. Look for shrimp that are firm and have a mild, briny scent.

Al Dente Noodles: Be sure not to overcook the fettuccine noodles. They should be slightly firm to the bite (al dente) as they will continue to cook briefly in the sauce.

Consistency Matters: If the Alfredo sauce is too thick, you can thin it out by adding a bit of pasta cooking water. If it’s too thin, simmer it a bit longer to thicken.
