Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Small Yellow Onion, diced
  • 4 Medium Russet Potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 8 oz Cheddar Cheese, grated
  • 1 10 oz Can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 10 oz Can Cream of Potato Soup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • ¼ Cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Creole Seasoning
  • ⅓ Cup Crispy French Fried Onions
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a 10″ cast iron skillet or a small casserole dish, evenly distribute the ground beef and press it down.
  3. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Sprinkle diced onions over the ground beef.
  5. Layer sliced potatoes evenly on top of the onions.
  6. Sprinkle grated cheese over the potatoes.
  7. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the chicken soup, potato soup, Worcestershire sauce, milk, and Creole seasoning until well combined.
  8. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the cheese and potatoes.
  9. Cover the skillet or casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1-½ hours.
  10. After baking, remove the foil and sprinkle crispy fried onions on top.
  11. Place the skillet or casserole dish under the broiler for a few minutes to brown the onions.
  12. Serve hot.
